Waterway and Power: The Development of Hydropower Industrial Heritage
Blessed with lofty mountains and plenty of rain, Taiwan enjoys rich hydropower resource as one of its most important self-produced energy.
The seminar will trace back the century-old history of hydropower in Taiwan, and go into the arrangement of waterways as well as origin of electricity in various regions. The seminar will also discuss the value and the preservation of Taiwan's hydropower cultural heritage in the light of civil engineering specialty.
Through online exchanges between experts from Taiwan and Slovakia, ANIH aims to share the cases and stories of hydropower heritage explored by large-scale landscape and history survey, advancing the dialogue among culture, technique, globality and locality.

本次講座將帶大家回溯臺灣百年水電產業的建設歷程，探尋島嶼上東西南北的老電廠;各地區水道配置及電力的起源，並帶入土木技術的觀點回應臺灣電力文化資產的保存價值。期待透過臺灣與斯洛伐克專家學者的線上交流，分享各方專家學者透過大規模的地景勘查及文史梳理出的水電產業文化資產故事，以及各國精彩案例，並展開人文、技術、地方的全球對話。
